Being bilingual is, in my mind, a super power. I grew up with lots of people who could seamlessly interweave Spanish and English in conversation, and as we got older, work in jobs that others couldn't because of their ability to communicate with all clientele and coworkers. It's extremely powerful to be able to communicate across languages and cultures, and I love that you talked about this here! Your point about people who are not a part of your culture just walking up to you and speaking Spanish is valid, that seems disrespectful or at the least like a strange flex on their part. Thanks so much for sharing!
