I like your statement "the fear of the virus may be hindering the world more than the actual disease at this point". While I don't know if this is true or not, it's an option we have to consider when trying to determine how to move forward. I do know that regional attitudes differ quite a bit in terms of social distancing measure and things, and the Bay is very of the hive-mind that these measures must be taken seriously. Even still, California and even Alameda County and SF more specifically have seen large numbers of cases with these measures firmly in place and largely followed. I would be very interested to learn more about the realities of what measures help, and what are just a Hail Mary in an effort to do anything possible to attempt to curb the virus. (Just a disclaimer, I'm not anti-social distancing measures. I am simply stating questions and inquisitions. Still, it's difficult to have a nuanced opinion about, well, anything these days, and I feel the need to be explicit).
